Esther L. Muth I homeschooled Michael when the Ordway Baptist Christian School stopped operating. He was homeschooled for his junior and senior grades of high school. I've been homeschooling Malcham (age 16) since he started (the same year Michael was a senior). He is now in eleventh grade. I use the ABEKA school material and really enjoy it. While Malcham was in the lower grades, we used only the books. When he was in seventh grade, I started getting the DVD lessons for English. We now use DVD for English and math, and we use just the books for the other classes. Our pastor (Jon Brandt) is his teacher for Bible, science, and history. Richard (my husband) and I own Muth Welding Service. I manage the office with a secretary, and he is in charge of everything else (welding shop and new and used farm and ranch equipment and parts). Malcham helps us, sometimes. We are all active in our local church (La Junta Baptist Tabernacle) which runs an AWANA club on Monday night. Esther L. Muth |
